ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
Embrace forms chemical and micromechanical bonds to tooth and restorative
surfaces in a slightly moist field. Embrace resins are self-adhesive and do
not require bonding agents. They are self-etching to dentin and contain
no solvents. A slightly moist field is preferred, and prior desiccation of
the tooth is not indicated. These advances reduce post-operative sensitivity.

CLINICAL TRIALS
Clinical trials, begun in May 2002, indicate that the material
provides excellent retention and marginal integrity in the oral
environment and appears to be “margin-free”, while providing the
esthetic qualities, strength and durability normally associated
with restorative resins.
REMARKABLE MARGINAL SEAL
The sealing ability of Embrace resins is remarkable. It has been
observed clinically that Embrace integrates with tooth structure in
a manner that is unique for a dental resin, resulting in a very
low contact angle that is better adapted to the anatomy of the
tooth. Embrace has exhibited excellent results when tested for
marginal sealing against microleakage, without the use of adhesive
primers or bonding agents.
BASED IN SCIENCE
Embrace incorporates di-, tri- and multi-functional acrylate
monomers into an advanced, hydrophilic, Resin Acid-Integrating
Network (R.A.I.N.). The material is activated in the presence of
moisture and is recommended for use on surfaces that are slightly
moist. When activated, the material is acidic. In the cured state,
the R.A.I.N. network is no longer affected by water, and as a
result, the cured material has a neutral pH and low water solubility.
