Directions:
- Clean:
Clean teeth to be banded with an oil-free prophy paste.
Rinse with copious amounts of water and dry thoroughly
with clean, uncontaminated air.
- Isolate:
Isolate and keep tooth surfaces clean and dry. You
can isolate with your fingers or with cotton rolls.
- Mix
Cement: Dispense equal amounts of Band-Rite
Parts A and B on a mixing pad and mix for 10 seconds.
The syringes and caps are color coded. Replace caps
on the appropriate syringe. Avoid cross-contamination
of Parts A and B.
- Place
Cement: Place the cement in the band. It
is not necessary to etch the tooth or roughen the
band.
- Seat
Band: Seat the band. Excess Band-Rite is
easily removed with your finger or a cotton roll so
that the occlusal edge of the band is visible and
you can see how the band fits.
- Cure:
Band-Rite is dual cure. You can proceed
with curing the cement in several ways:
A. Fully cure with a curing light from the occlusal
surface for 40 seconds.
B. Partially cure with a curing light from the occlusal
surface for 20 seconds. Band-Rite will self-cure completely
in 5 minutes.
C. Band-Rite will self-cure in 8 minutes without the
use of a light.
- Remove
Excess: After setting, excess Band-Rite is
easy to remove using a scaler. The excess flakes off
like a thin veneer.
Helpful
Hints:
- To
prevent Band-Rite from sticking to metal instruments,
spray with a light coat of oil-free silicone or “Pam”.
A coat of wax may also be used on the instrument.
Remove excess Band-Rite from instruments immediately
after use.
- Store
in cool dry place. Avoid direct sunlight. Refrigeration
extends shelf life. Return to room temperature before
using.
Warning:
- Band-Rite
may cause irritation to skin and eyes. If material
contacts skin, wash with soap and water. If material
contacts eyes, rinse with copious amounts of water.
Seek medical attention.
- Wear
protective gloves and eyewear.
- Avoid
cross-contamination of Parts A and B. Keep syringe
tips clean and replace caps on color coded syringes
immediately after use.
