Directions:
- Clean::
Clean the enamel surfaces to be bracketed with an
oil-free prophy paste. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Isolate:
Keep teeth to be bracketed free of moisture contamination
throughout the bracketing procedure. Maintain a dry
field using standard isolation procedures.
- Etch:
Apply Etch-Rite
or Ortho-Choice etchant to the tooth surface to be
bracketed for 20 seconds (40 seconds for primary teeth).
Rinse with copious amounts of water and dry with clean,
oil-free and moisture-free air. DO NOT DISTURB THIS
SURFACE. This surface should appear
- Apply
Primer: Dispense No-Mix Primer into a mixing
well and apply a thin coat on both the etched, dry,
tooth surface and the bracket base.
- Apply
Bracket Adhesive: Dispense No-Mix Adhesive
directly from the syringe and apply ½ mm onto the
bracket base. Note: Avoid cross-contamination of the
Primer bottle and the Adhesive syringe. Keep bottle
and syringe tip clean and replace caps immediately
after use.
- Place
Bracket:Place the bracket on the tooth with
firm pressure so that excess adhesive is expressed
from the perimeter of the bracket. Remove excess with
an explorer or plastic instrument. Immediately position
the bracket. The high viscosity of Pulpdent No-Mix
is designed to prevent bracket drift after positioning.
- Self-cure:
Allow to self-cure for 2 ½ - 3 minutes
- Place
Archwires: Archwires can be inserted and
secured after No-Mix has self-cured for 3 minutes.
- Bracket
Removal: After treatment is completed, the
brackets are removed in the usual manner.
Warning:
- No-Mix
and Etch-Rite may cause irritation to skin and eyes.
If materials contact skin, wash skin with soap and
water. If materials contact eyes, rinse with copious
amounts of water. Seek medical attention.
- Wear
protective gloves and eyewear.
- Avoid
cross-contamination of the Primer bottle and the Adhesive
syringe. Keep bottle and syringe tip clean and replace
caps immediately after use.
Caution:
When debonding brackets from porcelain restorations, special
care must be taken. Debonding can cause porcelain to chip,
fracture or delaminate.
Note:
When bonding to porcelain, first etch porcelain surfaces
with Pulpdent Porcelain Etch Gel and apply Silane following
manufacturer’s instructions for use. The Pulpdent Porcelain
Prep Kit is ideal for this application.
Storage:
Store in cool dry place. Avoid direct sunlight.
